In the night,
I chugged emulsified trees + plants
I gobbled rosy blood and organs
I inhaled cerulean god spirits
In the night,
I gorged on dark chocolate under my fingernails
I bathed in geriatric nightmare pools
I dozed in the dank darkness of dreamland
In the night,
I threw back a remedy for the day
I mainlined a prize for my woes
I basked in the blue light portals to paradise
In the night,
I careened in a caravan of carelessness
I pissed on pictures of peace and patience
I defecated at the door to deliverance
Now in the day,
Soaking in sunrise lost its luster
Trifling tears don’t make a dent
Visions of veracity blur at the borders
Nerve endings burned to a crisp.
